"Mosquitones" is a brass-section fiesta, managing to capture the exuberant essense that makes this nine-man ska squad so much fun in concert...
The army of 19 to 23 year olds ( mostly Boise and Borah High grads )formed three years ago...The album was a year in the making.
"It must have taken us four or five months just to record it," explained Bernhardt, 21. "Just getting nine guys together."
This is truly a surprising record and a step forward for the Treasure Valley's music scene.
The Mosquitones already are starting work on their next CD. When you are dealing with enough guys to field a baseball team, you can't ever start a project too early.
