LEGO® Puppet Shows

Please Explore!

Every summer at PCS, we teach a variety of camps...and one of our most popular is an "art and animation camp." We show off different software packages ( Ulead's most excellent morphing program, for example ). Of course, being the honorary LEGO® fanatic, I incorporated LEGO® elements into the lesson plans!

I divided the camp into three groups, and had each group: (1) write a script ( with characters, plot etc ), (2) Develop a story board for each scene, and (3) build the props, background and characters utilizing LEGO® pieces and parts! Now I could lecture on the virtues of using theater and developing writing skills...but I am pretty sure that most people would agree that these things are pretty important. Once again, LEGO constructs aided in creating an exciting situation! I couldn't hold these guys back!
